Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance at this time. However, we are able to provide you a Superbill for all services so you can submit it to your insurance for reimbursement.

What is your Cancellation and No Show Policy?

We understand that life happens and unexpected events can occur. However, to ensure that we can continue providing high-quality care to all of our clients, we have a policy in place. If a client misses their scheduled session without prior notice (no-show), they will be charged for the full session. Similarly, if a session is canceled on the same day, we will make every effort to reschedule it within the same calendar week.
If the session can be rescheduled, no cancellation fee will apply. However, if the session cannot be rescheduled within the same week, the cancellation fee will be charged. Time is valuable, and our sessions are specifically reserved for each client.

Do I need a referral?

If paying for services out of pocket, a referral is not required. However, if you are interested in obtaining Superbills for services to obtain insurance reimbursement, it is recommended you contact your insurance agency to determine if a referral is required.

What happens during a consultation?

A consultation is a great opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have regarding your child's speech or language development. This is an opportunity to thoroughly understand the specific challenges your child is facing and how it might be affecting their communication skills. Recommendations for the next steps, such as which assessment tool would be most suitable for evaluating the child’s speech and language needs will be discussed. The consultation also provides a chance for your child to get comfortable with the therapist before the evaluation.

What happens during an evaluation?

Parents/Guardians will first fill out intake forms and questionnaires to provide detailed information about their child's specific concerns and developmental history. Evaluations include the use of both standardized and informal assessments which are conducted in the comfort of the child’s home, ensuring a relaxed and familiar environment. After the evaluation, parents will have a follow up meeting to discuss the results, along with recommendations for next steps and any suggested therapy plans.

How long does an evaluation take?

The length of the evaluation depends on the specific test being used and the child's level of cooperation. If a child is engaged, focused, and comfortable, the evaluation tends to move more smoothly and efficiently, allowing the therapist to complete all necessary assessments within a typical time frame. However, if a child is hesitant, distracted, or anxious, it may take longer to complete the assessment. In these cases, the therapist may need to incorporate additional breaks, use different approaches to build trust, or take more time to help the child stay focused. The evaluation might also be paused and resumed on another day, if necessary, to ensure the child’s comfort and evaluation accuracy.
